This rustic, romantic mountain retreat is an ideal spot for couples or perhaps a single artist, looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of wherever they came from and experience inspiration amongst the hills. Sit in the porch swing or out on the shady deck and witness the beauty of the natural world around you. Have a glass of wine with a loved one as you watch the sun set amongst the greenery.
Inside, you will find a fully equipped kitchen: This includes a stove, oven, refrigerator, and, of course, a dishwasher! We want visitors to feel that they are truly in a home away from home, so this vacation spot hopefully has all of the amenities that you are used to in your own space. These include wifi, a washer and dryer, and linens and towels that are included; hopefully, these latter two features will allow you to pair down your packing to just the essentials, if you so choose! There is also a beautiful sunroom that is especially glorious in the summer, when greenery lights up the windows like stained glass in a cathedral, letting in muted light to illuminate the book that you’re reading as you allow yourself to fully relax.
The vacation home has one bedroom and one bathroom with a tub; scrub away the grime from a long day and relax in a scented bubble bath! This vacation home is truly made with your comfort in mind.
During the cold winters especially, visitors to this vacation home will have some additional ways in which to stay warm and cozy. Take advantage of the heated tile in the bathroom so that even when you’re not immersed in a hot bath, you have the opportunity to stay warm. Furthermore, the wood-burning heater in the living room will leave you feeling nice and toasty, along with, of course, the more typical standard heating and air!
When you’re visiting this area of North Carolina, there are many fun and family friendly attractions that will hopefully keep you entertained and ready to try new things. Of course there are your common opportunities to go hiking or fishing. Soak up the great outdoors after equipping yourself at one of our nearby outfitter spots with fishing rods and snacks. Or, wander down a trail somewhere and just walk, leaving all of your worries behind. A little more unique to the area than these hobbies, however, is the Smoky Mountain Gold and Ruby Mine. Try your hand at mining and see if you can find a unique souvenir to take back home with you or present to a loved one!
Another fun but very different way in which you can spend your time is by learning more about the history of car racing. Head to RFK Racing to spend some time soaking up information, and don’t forget to grab a souvenir on your way out!
When you’re ready to have a drink and relax after a long day, head to Fortnight Brewing Company for great drinks that you won’t want to miss out on! Or, if cooking at home is more in your plans for the evening, head to Mill Creek General Store for some healthy and hearty fare.

It's the most beautiful area of the country I have ever been to, and I have traveled all over. The cabin is homey, and warm. Beautifully decorated in rustic furniture. You do not have to travel but 10 minutes to be next to the river which will take your breath away. Jim and Peggy went above and beyond providing information of everything close by. Awesome experience, we really enjoyed our stay at The Cabins at Long Branch. Everything was just as described on the website, and even better when you see it with your own eyes.
The only problem is that we could not stay any longer. Kay Roll
Great, peaceful place to stay to kick your heels up, forget technology and just become one with nature. Or close enough to stay connected and just have some down time away from the rat race we call life!! Can BBQ dinner, cook in a conventional kitchen with all you left at home or you can find dining pretty close by, depending on what you have in mind. Love these cabins. I wish I could go 3 or 4 times a year because all the seasons have their own beauty from this back porch! Beau-Betty Smith
