Welcome to The Farmhouse at Rosa Lee Manor in Pilot Mountain, NC—a place where history and charm meet modern comfort. Rosa Lee Manor LLC is a wedding and event venue. The Farmhouse is a historic cabin located on the property. Originally built in 1905, this beautifully restored farmhouse offers more than just a place to stay; it’s a piece of local heritage, now available for overnight stays and intimate elopements. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a unique wedding venue, The Farmhouse delivers an experience rich in character and story.

Steeped in history, The Farmhouse began as a tenant house for families working on the farm in 1905. During the Depression era, it transitioned into a honeymoon cottage for newlyweds growing up on the farm and starting their lives together. This home has seen many firsts—first dances, first babies, and first steps of new families. Over time, it became a lively gathering place for square dances and Appalachian flat footing, before serving the farm again in a new role as a tobacco packhouse in the 60s and 70s.

Today, The Farmhouse stands as a testament to its past, with restored touches that blend history with comfort. We’re excited to offer overnight accommodations that can host 2 to 4 guests—perfect for couples or groups of friends seeking a quiet getaway. Small pets are welcome too.

Unique Features

Rosa Lee Lane is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Farm House, itself, is a mixture of quaint, rustic, romantic, woodsy, contemporary, elegant. Yes, it's all of those things. The decor is a nice blend of 1920s combined with contemporary comfort. You will sink into the down filled sofas for a movie, soak in the outdoor hot tub with a morning cup of coffee, sun on the back deck with a good book while steaks cook on the grill or sip a cocktail by the wood burning firepit. There are TVs in each bedroom and living area if the weather is dreary and you just want to lounge inside.

Avoid unnecessary fees by booking directly with us. Send an inquiry today to plan your stay or event at this one-of-a-kind farmhouse—a cabin rental in Pilot Mountain, NC unlike any other.

Things To Do

If you like day trips, we're perfectly located for trips to several state parks: Pilot Mountain, Saura Town Mountain, Hanging Rock, Blue Ridge Parkway just to name a few. We're within driving distance to every vineyard located within the Yadkin Valley Wine territory. We're about five miles from Main Street, Pilot Mountain and a 15-minute drive to Mount Airy, home of Andy Griffith and where the beloved TV sitcom show's storyline was based. Both towns are classic mountain towns full of privately owned shops, music, restaurants, antiques and unique gifts - a fun way to putt away a day of self indulgence.

Pilot Mountain State Park offers hiking trails like Jomeokee Trail, which loops around the base of the Big Pinnacle, or Grindstone Trail for those who want a longer trek with rewarding views. Sauratown Trail, a bit more off the beaten path, is another solid option for hiking and horseback riding. For mountain bikers, Moore’s Springs Trails is a favorite, offering miles of technical and scenic rides.

If they’re into history or enjoy a small-town vibe, Mount Airy—just 15 minutes away—has The Andy Griffith Museum, and the town hosts Mayberry Days, an annual festival celebrating its connection to the show. For a bite to eat, Snappy Lunch serves up its famous pork chop sandwich, and Little Richard’s BBQ is another local spot worth trying.

For guests looking to relax and enjoy some local wine, there are several nearby wineries to choose from. JOLO Winery & Vineyards is just a few miles away, offering beautiful views and award-winning wines. For a more laid-back vibe, Round Peak Vineyards not only has excellent wines but also a craft brewery on-site. Shelton Vineyards is another top choice, known for its stunning grounds and farm-to-table dining at Harvest Grill.

Closer to Pilot Mountain, your guests can visit The Pilot Mountain Vineyards, a charming spot with scenic views of the mountain and a cozy atmosphere perfect for unwinding. Or, if they want a glass of wine with a local twist, End Posts winery is a great option to experience North Carolina’s vineyard culture.

For a casual evening out, The Pilot Brewing Supply Co. offers craft beer, while The Tilted Ladder in downtown Pilot Mountain has live music and a laid-back vibe. For dinner, there are many restaurants in the surrounding towns of Mount Airy and Dobson.
Descriptions and recommendations are always provided upon checkin to the Farm House.

If guests visit in the spring, they might catch MayFest, Pilot Mountain’s Main Street festival filled with local vendors, food trucks, and live music. There are outdoor concerts at the amphitheater in Mount Airy as well as the largest festival in the area, Autumn Leaves Festival, typically in October.

About the Owner/Manager

While the hosts are new to this site, they are not new to hospitality. Bill and Cyndee Duprey have been operating Rosa Lee Manor, one of the first wedding venues in the region, since 1995. The wedding venue has included overnight accommodations since that time as well. The Farm House is located on the property named after our paternal grandmother, Rosa Lee Adams Hunter.

Cyndee grew up on the farm and grew up working with friends and family harvesting tobacco, hay, corn, vegetables and tending to livestock. It was hard work but she's never forgotten the fun times shared over farm work with childhood friends. She left the area for a corporate career but finally returned in 2017 with her husband, Bill, to live on the farm once again. Bill is very talented. After some years in the US Airforce as a mechanic, he, too, pursued a corporate career but his love for mechanics never faded. He's a talented carpenter, mechanic, landscaper, you name it. Although he didn't grow up on a farm, the lifestyle fits him like a glove.

Today the farm is more of a "gentleman's farm". Bill and Cyndee are finally able to enjoy the countryside lifestyle without so much of the hard farm work. Kids are gone. They live on the property alone with their many "fur babies", enjoying gardening, landscaping, ongoing restoration projects and sharing in celebrations with newly married couples.

The Farmhouse, itself, has a rich history. Most of the restoration was done by their hands which makes sharing the restored version with you even more special. They hope that you can appreciate the sounds and sights of nature while here and think back on the times 125 years ago when life was harsh but slower and much simpler. Some of the restoration is still in progress. For safety reasons, we do not allow families with small children under the age of 13 to stay at the Farm House.
