The house and property were spotless, cozy, and provided plenty of space. Everything was top-notch, with so many fun activities to choose from! While the zip line wasn’t operational, it didn’t matter much since we likely wouldn’t have used it. We took the short hike to the waterfall just off the property, and it was absolutely gorgeous and vibrant! The outdoor fireplace was a real highlight, and the location was ideal—just a short distance from downtown Highlands. We truly appreciate the opportunity to stay—thank you!
The cabin was roomy and well-equipped, with plenty of kitchen tools, towels, and other essentials. We appreciated that pets were allowed, though we did notice a few spots with visible pet stains. Unfortunately, we ran into some trouble when we first arrived—the entry code didn’t work, and it took about 30 minutes to get in touch with the owner. After a long day of cross-country travel with small kids, this made for a tough start since it was quite late when we arrived. That said, the cabin's location was great, and there was more than enough space for our large family.
This property was perfect for our group of 8! The main house offered plenty of space for everyone to relax but still had a warm, inviting atmosphere. The amenities were fantastic—we especially enjoyed the fireplaces, hot tub, and game room. The kitchen was a highlight, with two ovens that made preparing meals for our large group so much easier. Although the house feels wonderfully secluded, it’s still a short distance from Highlands, which was a great bonus. Thank you, Marty, for sharing your lovely home!

Hello from Marty Bush and the Lott/Bush family! Our journey into vacation property began in the 1970s with a charming retreat on Florida's Gulf Coast. Since then, we've expanded to include beautiful spots like Park City, UT, and Lake Martin, AL.
Our most recent find holds a special place in our hearts. From the moment we discovered this serene haven, nestled in nature, we knew we had found something extraordinary. It’s more than just a house—it’s a place where we’ve already begun creating lasting memories and where we’re excited to welcome you.
We love hosting and sharing our space with guests, hoping to fill it with laughter and joyful experiences. When we’re around, we enjoy exploring the nearby natural wonders, like the stunning White Side Mountain, which has become a family favorite.
