Located in the peaceful beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Lotts of Sky provides room to gather, relax, and reconnect while giving everyone their own comfortable space. The main home and carriage house together can accommodate up to 16 guests, including up to 10 adults and 6 children.
The main house features four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, and four stone fireplaces throughout the home. The chef’s kitchen, complete with a six-burner gas range and two ovens, is designed for preparing memorable meals together. Multiple gathering spaces, including the open living area, family room, and kids’ zone, give everyone room to enjoy their time in the mountains.
The home includes three king bedroom suites, a bunk room designed for children, and additional sleeping space. After a day exploring Highlands, relax by one of the fireplaces, enjoy the wraparound porches, or unwind in the private hot tub under the stars.
The private carriage house, located above the garage, adds an additional bedroom, full bathroom, laundry, and living space — ideal for grandparents, teenagers, another couple, or family members who appreciate having their own private retreat while still being together.
Lotts of Sky welcomes up to two well-behaved pets. We simply ask that pets remain off furniture and beds so we can maintain the home for every guest.

We chose Highlands for our wedding at Skyline Lodge, and our family stayed here. The house and studio were exactly as described and provided a perfect setup for our group of 7 adults and 3 kids.
We had a fantastic time celebrating our mom’s 70th birthday at this lovely home. It was incredibly spacious with excellent outdoor areas, and the communication with the host was top-notch. The house comfortably accommodated our group of 7 adults and 6 girls with the triple bunk beds being a real hit!
We celebrated our 40th anniversary with a family gathering in May, bringing together my wife, our four adult sons, two daughters-in-law, and seven grandkids ranging from 7 months to 8 years old. We traveled from Gainesville, Jacksonville, Niceville, and Pensacola, Florida, and everything exceeded our expectations. The kids had a blast with the game room and zip line, while we enjoyed hiking to our favorite waterfalls and discovering new ones. The Highland fireworks were a highlight, and we were impressed by the home's beautiful decor and spacious, comfortable bedrooms. The five oldest grandkids especially enjoyed sharing the bunk room. The large decks were perfect for family time and offered plenty of space for everyone to relax and have their own private areas. Communication with Marty and John was smooth and efficient. We loved our time in Highlands, and the house, along with the garage apartment for our two bachelor sons, suited our family perfectly. We’re likely to return in the future.
We had a wonderful week with family in this beautiful home, which had everything we needed. The kitchen was well-equipped with pots, pans, utensils, and spices. Both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces created cozy spaces for gathering, and the house was spacious and private. Marty was always responsive and helpful, making our stay seamless. We created memories that we’ll cherish forever!

Our family’s love for vacation homes began in the 1970s with a special retreat on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Over the years, that tradition grew to include other memorable places in Park City, Utah, and Lake Martin, Alabama — homes where family and friends could gather, relax, and create lasting memories.

For our family, a vacation home has always been about more than a place to stay.
